Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival

The Gnomes' Place

Steve
Nathan
We do like our Renaissance Festivals.
These photos were taken last weekend at Scarborough Faire.
We used to purchase season passes, but since we bought this property there's no time to be lolling about. There's work to be done!!!!
Now, once a year has to be good enough!

The venue is quite pretty, with a creek, pecan trees and plenty of shade all situated on about 33 acres.

Nathan & I
Jousting, belly dancers, knife throwing,
comedy shows, camel rides,
what more could you ask for?
Me
As I was standing in line to purchase our tickets
this woman came up to me and gave me a comp ticket.
Three for the price of two!
How cool is that?

Got a soap show for the next two days, so.....
Till next time..
Bonjour

Great pics! We dressed my grand daughter up as a pioneer girl on one of those trips. She hated it. She is a Princess, you know. It was not her cup of tea.

Now I know for sure we are related! I go to Faires, too. In fact the local Community Foundation (I'm on the board) hosts a Faire in October...It's a Harvest Faire...fun! Love your pictures!

Hey Sue, Thanks. Leah would fit right in, there are plenty of royals at this event!!! We could get her some fairy wings and she could be a fairy princess!

Hi Lynda, I remember reading in one of your older posts about you and your gal pals being at the cabin sewing ren fest costumes. COOL!!!!
I thought maybe you were a costume vendor.

We love the "feel" of this type of event. Texas has three, spring, summer and fall.
