Good Things

~~~SEWING~~~
Blue Moon Original Aprons
~~~Booth display at Texas Country Reporter Festival~~~

Blue Moon Soaps
Hello everyone.
It's been awhile since my last post but believe me, I've been busy!
Between work, sewing and soapmaking there hasn't been much time for anything else.
Oh, and moving into a new home... Can't forget that.

We just did The Texas Country Reporter Festival and
I sold out on most all the ladies full aprons.....
WOOHOO!!!!!
And, I've added water bottle carriers and wristlets to the
Blue Moon Original line and they also did well .
The soap and related products always do good.

I find the water bottle carrier and the sling bag
very useful on my walks with the dogs.

As to the job.....
I am now working at Cato Fashions here in Waxahachie and I love it!
I get to dress nice, meet new people and get a 20% discount to boot.
Plus my manager has no problem working with my show schedule.
Tres Bien!

Well, my sewing machines are calling,
so I'll say Bonjour for now.
Till next time, enjoy life.

Waxahachie Junior Service League, Christmas Market Preparations

We had a fun and profitable day at The Texas Country Reporter Festival.
With the help of my grandson Brian and
my daughter Ginger we sold lots of product, kept the money secure,
and generally had a great time.
I sold out of my full aprons and dolls and moved quite a bit of soap.
Needless to say I've been quite busy replenishing the stock
for The Junior Service League Christmas Market, December 6-7
at the Waxahachie Civic Center.

Halter Style Apron

This style apron, with it's halter top, seems to fit the broadest range of women.

But, I don't want just one style,
so I'll be working on creating a more diverse selection.

The taggie monsters and ballerinas are getting some notice also.

Mini Christmas Stockings

I've also been working on my mini stockings,
I market these as gift bags.

Well, there's a lot yet to be done and only
32 days left till show time.
SO....
Till next time,
happy creating!
Bonjour

Bustin Arse (AKA, making product)

SO...
I know, I know, I've been absent in blog land!!!
The fall shows have taken over,
one more to go and I'm finished for the year!

The Texas Country reporter show was fantastic.
We sold mega amounts of product (good) .
Yesterday we had a smaller show
which depleted my inventory even more (bad).

So now I'm scrambling to replace said product
for the Christmas Market in December.

Today I made five - twenty bar batches of soap
and have plans on making four more batches
during the week.
I'ts doable, and I'll just squeak in
under the cure time allotment.

Nathan is due in on the 18th so I shall enlist his
help on making and packaging the other products.
He's pretty well versed on the workings of the soap co.
and has even told me that when I die he's taking over!
I guess he thinks he's Brad Pitt in - Fight Club!

Don't remember if I mentioned...
Got another wholesale account,
Maybe soon I can leave the surreal world of people-eaters
and concentrate on the homestead duties.
Maybe even get to bed at a decent hour?
There's always hope...

Oh yeah,
I rolled out a new product this last week.
Brown Sugar Body Polish!!!
(Think sugar scrub with a fancy name).
YUMMY!

Brown Sugar Body Polish
Well it's after nine here in Texas
and I do have to work tomorrow...
I'll try to catch up on everyone's doings at lunch
during the week, can't wait to see what you' all
have been up to!!!

Till next time,
Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble!
Oh wait,
no trouble, just toil and bubbles!

Bonjour

The Witch is Back

YEAH, IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!

No work today, well not for someone else anyway.
Today will be spent getting everything packed for tomorrow's show, taking care of the last minute details & GETTING MY HAIR DONE!
I haven't had my hair done since last year about this time. I've been growing said hair out & now it's time for a trim & much needed style with some color thrown in for good measure.
Oh, that pesky gray! I'm too young for gray!
I am sooo looking forward to someone else brushing, washing & generally fiddling with my hair!
I am so excited, a whole new me, well on the outside anyway.

I thought I might dress differently for this show since I'll have a NEW DO. It is very close to Halloween, so
maybe some kind of costume is in order?
I have the really cool witch hat, a black skirt with a pointy hem, some black lace gloves, a black fringed shawl, a black scrunchy blouse, the snake necklace....
OK, witch it is!

THE REALLY COOL WITCH  HAT

The full moon is making me crazy!!
What do you think, should I dress up?
This show(Texas Country Reporter) generates a lot of press, maybe I'll be featured on the nightly news or in some newspaper! One can always dream.

Got to go & get my new DO.
WOO, WOO

Till next time.....
Bonjour
