I admit it, I’m not really into pets.

I think it dates back to my childhood.

I’ve had several pets in my lifetime, dogs, cats. birds, rabbits …

Pet equals, eventual death of pet.

Why put yourself in the mix, risk heartache?

At present we have three dogs, all rescue of some sort or another.

Fluffy is the latest in the mix, wandered up on New Years Eve of last year.

who would leave this pup to fend for herself ?

Now, Fluffy is laying in the floor wondering,

“why do I feel like crap, why was I left at an unknown place

all day without my buddies, why can’t I have food or water“?

Because Fluffy….

We had to get you “fixed”.

I’m sorry!

I realize these dogs would lay down their lives for me.

They position themselves in a triangle around me, wherever I am,

covering any angle just in case…..

And poor little Fluffy, in her less than perfect condition,

is in the mix, protecting me.

How cool is that?

My Little Corner Of The World!

So....



Ennis, Texas is the bluebonnet capitol of Texas, and it just so happens,

that I live on one of the Bluebonnet Trails.

Every year, visitors from all over, converge on Ennis

for photo ops of the bluebonnets.

They bring wicker chairs and other props just to have

their photos taken in the flowers.

For the last two weeks I've had lookie-lous pulling

into my drive, photographing each other in our flowers.

Isn't it funny, I have these flowers every year and a host of several others.

I pick them, make my table pretty with them, watch our bees collect their pollen,

but mostly take them for granted.

So here you have it, bluebonnet photos without the fuel cost!

Fluffy and Red say "we love our bluebonnets".

Oh Yeah, I Forgot!!!

Oh well....

I forgot that... puppy + food = poop!

I forgot that... puppy + water = pee!





When the big dogs go out to do their business the little dog follows.

She sees what the other two are doing and does her business too.

She just has to do it more often!

Now if she could just get the hang of letting me

know when she needs to go out we would be set.

Anyway....

I spent the greater part of yesterday steam cleaning rugs and mopping floors.

Thank goodness we haven't put carpeting down yet.

After I cleaned the rugs, I rolled them up and put them on the deck.

Maybe by spring Fluffy will have the hang of things and I can bring them back in!

A little ammonia, mixed with orange essential oil in the mop pail had the place

clean and smelling great  in no time.

I need to go finish making soap,

 so....
